Too sunny!!

Saturday 3rd March 2012,
sunny, SW2.
Another visit to Richmond Bank today was productive, although it was too sunny and the Gulls were in much smaller numbers than seen here before.
Despite the mud being exposed throughout the visit, only a few hundred Gulls were present at any one time, despite thousands being seen over the tip on occasion.
Highlight was a brief adult Caspian Gull,a species which has been really tough to see here this winter.
Also picked out were four Iceland Gulls( 3 x 1stw and a 2ndw).Three Yellow-legged Gulls were also seen( ad and 2 x 1stw), along with a near full summer plumaged adult Med Gull.
A Rock Pipit flew over calling and four Bullfinches were in the scrub here.
